Font Embedding
Summary
Compared to languages like English, Chinese has tens of thousands of characters, which lead to huge-size fonts. However, in a typical usecase we don’t need all characters. An approach can be designed to save the traffic and load fonts much quicker. Clients request with characters they need. The server then extracts, responds with the requested subset of the font.
(For demonstration purposes without the need of maintaining a server, the font subset is served as a static file here.)
